University of Western Sydney, also known as UWS, is a university in Western Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. University of Western Sydney has campuses in the Greater Western Sydney suburbs of Rydalmere, Westmead, Richmond, Quakers Hill, Werrington South, Werrington North, Kingswood, Milperra and Campbelltown. UWS is a provider of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.UWS is gaining an increasing reputation for teaching and research excellence. In 2007, the University was ranked 24th among Australian Universities by the Melbourne Institute. In 2009, UWS was placed within the top 600 universities worldwide by Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
